#1599-1600
The Clash - Give 'Em Enough Rope
Avohou Pierre et L'Orchestre Black Santiago
Nice first pressing of the Clash, and cracking music from Benin.
The Stan Tracey Quartet - Captain Adventure (Steam, 1976 First Signed Pressing)
Another storming British jazz session, this time from pianist Stan Tracey. This copy is signed by Tracey and saxophonist Art Themen.
Dominique Fils-Aimé - The Red
The Staves - Good Woman
I think this is their most consistently solid release to date, definitely rising up my 2021 rankings
Sam Tudor - Quotidian Dream
Fiona Apple - The Idler Wheel is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do
The Graham Collier Septet - Deep Dark Blue Centre (Deram, 1967 First Mono Pressing)
Some more killer British jazz!
Ray Charles- Genius + Soul = Jazz
I went into this one blind and must say, it’s not really my jam. The more I listen to jazz orchestras / big band the more I realize I’m just not a fan. Either way, nice pressing and overall package for Impulse 60.
Bob Dylan - Oh Mercy
Mofi reissue (2020)
Lord Huron - Long Lost
It’s a Lord Huron album. If you like Lord Huron you will like this album.
Charles Bradley
No Time For Dreaming
Kishi Bashi - Sonderlust
Joyful Noise (2016)
City Girl
Neon Impasse
Laura Nyro and Labelle - Gonna Take a Miracle (Columbia Records, 1971)
Herbie Hancock
Takin' Off
Cinderella- Long Cold Winter
I just cannot recommend this album enough.
