What's Spinning

Hey - how is that MOFI? I have an original Canadian pressing of that and it sounds pretty awful. Thinking of eventually upgrading...

I have an early CD and the Silver Series MoFi vinyl. Both sound excellent.

Lou's my guy...

Lou Reed - Sally Can't Dance

And Neil. Neil's my guy too.

A nice original pressing with the ultra fragile blotter paper jacket. These are tough to find in decent shape because Neil designed them to quickly degrade and fall apart as a metaphor to the subject matter of this record - the life and death of the junkie and the wreckage they leave behind. One of Neil's best LPs...

Neil Young - Tonight's The Night

Grant Green - Grantstand (Blue Note, 1975 Pressing)

Having a day celebrating the birthday of Herbie Hancock, the life of Jymie Merritt, and working through my top 4000 series of Blue Note records. Grant Green has always been a favourite of mine, and Grantstand happens to be my favourite album of his.
