While it sucks for their employees and will create a log jam, it is probably for the best.



Ya, this is definitely one of those good thing/bad thing scenarios. For the plants that will absorb Rainbo's business, I understand no plant can deliver 100% QC all the time, but I have a hard time believing all of them can't improve their QC with some small changes and processes.
 
Michael Fremer guesses the presses will be purchased by Erika, the other bigger pressing plant in the LA area.

While they don't add any etching in the runouts to know exactly what they press, they do a lot of work with plates from RTI.

They produced the worst pressings by far with no improvement over the years.
I've seen labels out of place, vinyl bits embedded in the grooves, warps, uneven pressings (one side much thicker then another) and on and on.
