They are. Crazy, right.
Wow, I did not know that. I am surprised there are still 50 people who know what a minidisc is!

Vaporwave (and it’s many sub genres) thrives on retro futurism, especially from the 80’s and very early 90’s. It was instrumental in bringing back the cassette into popularity, and more recently mini-discs are being sold as a format. See also Crystal Pepsi and Bart Simpson.Wow, I did not know that. Still waiting on my copy to dispatch. Was just in town and saw plenty copies, if they’d been up to a couple of quid more than my preorder price I’d have cancelled and happily paid the difference, but at £30 instore (two different shops) the pre-order stands.Just got the notification from Amazon UK that Lost Souls has now shipped! Fingers crossed all three make it across the pond safely

I was only able to cancel one of my three orders.I almost placed a second order last night cause I was so paranoid this would be cancelled. Glad I held off
Ditto, I was worried I’d end up with 2 out of the 3 and have to pay an arm and a leg for Lost Souls. Just looks like it’ll be two different packages.I almost placed a second order last night cause I was so paranoid this would be cancelled. Glad I held off

I have a Sharp minidisc player in a shoebox somewhere. I mostly used it to record shitty DMB Bootlegs plus it was easier to make a mix tape as CD burning wasn’t yet a thing yet but cassettes were already moving to obsolescence. The only actual Minidisc Album I purchased was Jeff Buckley’s “Grace”. The the first half of the 1990’s were a crazy time.Had eve 6 self titled on minidisc. That was the future , man
I also have one in a box somewhere...now I'm curious to know what is on all those unlabelled discs I still have.I have a Sharp minidisc player in a shoebox somewhere. I inherited a portable player from a friend and about 25 mixes. I am so digging it out, putting in on my belt and walking around town. Man the future was going to be amazing.I also have one in a box somewhere...now I'm curious to know what is on all those unlabelled discs I still have.
I shudder to guess. I bet there is some Bighead Todd and The Monsters, Pat McGee Band, Sister Hazel, Vertical Horizontal, etc.. on mine. Lotsa stuff I enjoyed just enough to want a copy of but didn’t like well enough to buy the CD. I’m glad my musical pallet has become a tad more refined over the years.I also have one in a box somewhere...now I'm curious to know what is on all those unlabelled discs I still have.
