“Have Mercy” has a really nice hazy vibe to it and the label on the 45 itself, with the sunset over the ocean, does remind me of the beach a bit.

Cocteau Twins - Heaven Or Las Vegas

I went through several Baywatch montage videos to see if I could line up any of the songs with my record collection. No luck, but was definitely an entertaining process. There are some Cocteau Twins songs though, just nothing thats on my records!

Conan O’Brien influenced a big part of my life with his stint as a writer on The Simpsons and SNL and with his hilarious late night talk show. Play an album by a musical guest featured on the show or album inspired by the show itself. (Bonus points if you include the Conan performance in your post)

This is weird. I've had a vivid memory of hanging out with my undergrad house mates and singing Cake's "I Will Survive" in our living room.... but that's completely impossible since I moved out of that house and out of town in April 1994. And I realize now the album was released in 1996. So this must have happened with my grad school buddies. We all know memories get crossed, especially from so long ago, but it's always uncanny catching yourself in that.
