NHL Thread Because There Isn't An NHL Thread

Was just thinking at the Habs trades with Calgary over the end of last season, with Monahan looking rejuvenated from his surgeries. It's looking pretty damn sweet. Having a performing Monahan will be great for the kids. If continues to play well, he could bring back even more at the deadline, or the Habs could just offer a contract depending on how much he wants.

Flames got:
Toffoli
cap space to add Kadri

Habs got:
1st rounder
1st rounder
Monahan (1 yr left on contract)
Heineman (who'll go back to Sweden to continue developping)
 
On the other hand, Dadonov is looking like a top notch Tank Commander, but I'm not going to fault that trade either. A year of potential dead wood to clear Weber's cap space remains a sound decision.
 
Nice start for the Red Wings. Loved seeing Soderblom get the first goal...I've been watching Twitter highlights of that big fella for a year now.
