Neverending Covid-19 Coronavirus

Providence hospital, in Portland, OR, is asking the public to sew masks for healthcare workers.

Hand sewn masks, bandanas, etc are not PPE's. This WILL result in DEAD healthcare professionals.

Well, we have our first exposure situation at work. (not a positive test) A guy was at a job meeting on Weds with someone that tested positive today. The guy that was exposed was just in here, I stood within six feet but not right next to while him chatting about his vacation plans, then he got the call about it. We didn't shake hands, I don't think I touched anything he did. He left pretty quick after that call, and everybody started wiping down doors and surfaces he may have touched. Boss isn't closing, says it's not a big deal.

I am trying to remain calm. In all seriousness, what's the protocol with exposed to someone who was exposed to someone? Should I not go near my wife when I go home?

Self isolate, if the person you interacted with becomes symptomatic then self quarantine for 14 days seems to be the suggestions I have seen.

Remember my post from earlier about how it's kind of nice to be at work? I think I changed my mind.
Here are some quotes from a conversation I had 10 minutes ago. These quotes are from three different people:
"It's just the flu"
"Overblown"
"You can't get reinfected"
"I already had it"
"It can't survive in heat and humidity"

To the humidity statement I said 'I'm not sure if they know that's true' and he said yep, it's only in Northern Italy, southern is fine. I said what about Florida? He said it's only in Northern Florida too. ummmm. I just can't argue with some. And hell, I hope he's right, that would be great if summer killed it.

It is in northern, central and southern Florida, BTW.

In Michigan kids will have to make up the days missed because school is closed due to the coronavirus. As an added bonus they will not count any online-schooling as instructional time that counts towards the minimum required number of school days.

Unlike many other states that are waiving the school time requirements, even if they don't have online schooling options.

Is there a trending herbal remedy with ginger or something? Seems to be out at all the stores. Just wanted some for dinner!
