EDIT: why do you this to me knowing that I am the only one who knows why you use avecigrec

Here we go! Today, a few days late, we are starting our new (and last?) AotM thread. This thread will be different from the others because, first, nobody will ever guess the right album (not even @avecigrec), second, because.

For this first hint, I asked the help of ChatGPT. Why? Because it's free and with the money I spend on records I don't have any money to buy any fancy software. So first hint is "Same as swallowing shards of pain" and it points to the first song of the album.

Most important! I want everyone to participate so I would like to ask you guys what was your favorite N&G AotM and why it was Heritage or Les Égarés? Share a small story about how much you loved the album, tell us if it was something new to your ears, etc. Share something. As for me, it was this one picked by @Joe Mac!.

Just wanted to thank everyone who ran one of these AOTM threads! So much fun and so many great albums! I bought more than half of them, and even the ones that didn't fully resonate with me were still thoughtfully picked and very interesting new discoveries!

Here are a few of my favorites, in order of anouncement only:

  • Camarón de la Isla - La Leyenda del Tiempo
  • Clarence Clarity - No Now
  • 15-60-75 (The Numbers Band) - Jimmy Bell's Still In Town
  • Nerija - Blume
  • Teenage Fanclub - Grand Prix
  • Kenny Burrell - Midnight Blue
  • Dogs Die in Hot Cars - Please Describe Yourself (was almost one I picked for this, so just shouting out!!!!!!)
  • Ages and Ages - Me You They We
  • Elephant Gym - Dreams

Excited for this final (??) round!!

Vol. 2 & Vol. 46 are the two that introduced me at the time to albums/musicians I've since come to really enjoy. There are a few of my favorite albums among the many selections which I've exempted because I wasn't introduced to them by the club, even if I love the album.

All good things as they say.... Vinyl Me, No Mas
