Incoming! The New Equipment Thread

Finally had an opportunity to audition a Bryston 3B3 power amplifier this past week ... it sailed past most of the other options we've tried to date. It has more space, depth, body, range: everything. It's MORE. So, ordered one. 6-8 weeks build time. Decided to use the Moon as a preamp for the time being and do our part for domestic manufacturing by buying new instead of shopping used for the entire stack.

And now I need a new rack. My already stuffed Salamander Archetype isn't going to accommodate it easily. I'm looking at a Salamander Synergy SN30. It has lots more space for gear. I love how bulletproof the Archetype has been, and it should just slide in between the cabinetry and the front left speaker. Here's hoping their stuff isn't getting hit too hard by the retaliatory tariffs.

Well, shit. The tariffs will make the Synergy rack too expensive for my dealer to bring in and sell. They may sell me their demo model instead.

If the demo model falls through, I'll beg for inspiration for something with space for seven components, 11-12 inches clearance between the bottom and middle shelves, and no wider than 48'ish inches.

Check out Solid Steel. They’re Italian, and well made. Their VR-3 may fit your needs.
