Hip Hop

Cyhi appreciation post. I'm still mad No Dope On Sundays never got physicals despite having numerous AAA features on it. It's tied with You Only Live 2wice and 4eva is a Mighty Long Time as my favorite album from 2017. It is peppered with ATL specific references like Kast's Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.

Peep his wordplay and flow change on this verse, he takes something simple and makes it sound so good with his delivery:

"Blow a bag of indo like a bad Nintendo
If I had your bimbo it was accidental
Now I'm actin nimble 'cause she actin' simple
Back to running circles round the A like a @ symbol
Hamilton Holmes, to Indian Creek
I pray I'm at my home while my enemies creep
So many shots it sound like there's 20 of me
My boy rock a robin like twee-lee-lee-lee
I email my bitches I C.C. Ceecee
I told her to meet me at BB&T
Only see me in Georgia, I'm GPTV"

I also recommend the songs "Trick Me", "No Dope on Sundays" which features a killer Pusha T verse, and "Don't Know Why". Cyhi makes it sounds so effortless that it almost seems like what he's doing is simple, like HOV.

Here's some more good music because it's Friday. If you haven't heard this before, take a seat and strap in for real.

edit: Apparently today is not Friday, but this song makes it feel like it is.
