I think you gotta try the Zephyr. See what the Sol is fully capable ofI’m planning to displace the UltraDeck for a little while, I think. Jury’s out on whether I use the SAE or mount the Zephyr MIMC, since that’s just sitting around.
Those grandfather clocks going off in the middle of DSOTM would really confuse me.Has anyone checked out this system they're auctioning?
Isn’t that like $40 USD?Friends! Need help for a buddy putting a system together. What's the current thoughts on best stereo amp under $800 CAD and best speakers around $600 CAD or under? THOUGHTS?

oh schitt. you did it! you madman!Well, the Sol certainly lives up to its reputation. Fiddly, endlessly adjustable, the exact opposite of fire and forget. Unipivots are exactly as unsettling to work with as I’ve heard. That said, I’ve finished aligning a couple cartridges on separate tonearms and am finally ready to do some listening.
The only bit that’s not working properly is that the cue platform isn’t fully descending when the lever is in the lowered position, so I’m having to very gently press it down to fully lower the tonearm. I’ve emailed Schiit already and hopefully they can give me some direction on how best to deal with that.
