Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

My long-suffering wife has let me pull the trigger on this, to celebrate my upcoming cake day, SOTA Escape Turntable with Origin Live Silver Tonearm & Condor Speed Controller . The open box price works out to a free Origin Live Silver tonearm.

I want to stay made in USA for the cartridge. The Soundsmith Otello or a Grado are my short list. SOTA is using Grado at CAF with their upcoming Quasar table. I’m really excited because this will be significant upgrade for my system. I hope to hear what I think I am missing.

VPI Avenger running an Audio Technica AT-MC2022 Excellence 60th Anniversary cartridge through new-make Tannoy Canterburys is my setup of the show.

About as unattractive as their turntable mats. Might be a Jersey thing, idk.

At first, I wanted to say, “at least it looks great outside the ferns.” Then I looked closer, and I have to ask what exactly are those Tannoys sitting on?!
