Here's a good one I haven't seen posted yet - Willie's Pretty Paper from 1979. His voice is in top form and features organ and productuon by Booker T Jones.
So I'm at work and really just running through versions of Christmas (Baby Please Come Home). It seems it goes into three categories
OG and Diva (super strong female vocal with the traditional backing chorus support - though no one does it like Darlene)
#sadboys (downtempo, melancholy male vocals usually with a band accompaniment)
Country (country)
I generally trend to the first two but here are a few other gems/cool versions popped up. So four of my favorites below
Darlene Love (all versions but the last Letterman clip is so good)
Slow Club (pound for pound my favorite Christmas EP in recent memory)
Death Cab For Cutie (downtone sadness done by the masters)
Maddie and Tae (this one surprised me, I love their production choices)
