Album of The Year - Endgame

Stevie Ray Vaughan - Soul to Soul
Talking Heads - Little Creatures
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Southern Accents
Minutemen - 3 Way Tie (for last)
INXS - Listen Like Thieves

I listened to Kate Bush's Hounds of Love and it was decent. Definitely can't rank it after one or even a few listens. This list could change after some more time with it.

1980s are a real weak spot for me but here goes. It was a pretty decent year for African music, although I prefer 1984 (all according to Discogs of course as it's really quite hard to know when a lot of it was actually released).

1. The Pogues - Rum, Sodomy & The Lash
2. Thomas Frimpong - Aye Yi
3. REM - Fables of the Reconstruction
4. Franco - Mario
5. Dexys Midnight Runners - Don't Stand Me Down
6. The Broken Hearts - Want One? (a mate's first band)
7. Tabu Ley - Afrisa Selection
8. Sangazuza - Izaura

I feel like I should like some of the more well-known albums from this year but I just don't know them well enough to put them down
