Just noticed sibilance on a brand new record. As a reaction one checks alignment, VTF and vta. All good. Its one song on one record. The record itself is not very flat though, so its going to be returned anyways. Using a Lyra Delos, has about 40 hours on it. And its just on the left...

Its insane compared to MoFi Mastertracker and the Hana ML 😁 Im getting a MoFi Ultragold soon and will compare it to that.

How long should i expext my Lyra Delos to last? 🙂 I use my turntable for about 1-3 hours each week, and sometimes only 1-3 hours weekend,not using it for the week. Got it last year.

How rigid are the tone-arm bearing? I was unlucky today when i took the lid off. Hit the rear of the tonearm where the counter-weight is and sent the tonearm flying. :/ Happened once before.. Damn. No damage tho.

Found the manual i had, and peaked behind the amp. Manual says Use Speakers with an impedance of at least 6ohm. And at the rear of the amp it says 6ohm min / speaker. Guess the Wharfedales are out of the question for now.

I do have a pair of Dali Zensor 1 that i will use - as my girlfriend said that she wants a soundbar in the livingroom instead of large speakers. I still need some advice on cables and and perhaps a sub.

85's are at 4. The 80s are at 6 i see.

Ah. Im just curious if the Yamaha rx-v367b can power them. Its rated for 8 and 6 ohms.

We do, but they do not have the Denton 80. :( Are there options to the Denton 80's if they are unobtainable?

So less impedance means that the amp has to push more wattage?

It jitters and wobbles at the first 1-3 minutes pr side. Its not off-center, ive checked :)

I asked MoFi and its by design - earlier model. They asked for the serial number, and apparently it is supposed to stay in the upper groove at both 33 and 45 rpm. The reason is the height of the platter,, so by design then.
