I really don't know much about Prine but still feel the sadness of losing such an incredible man who has helped so many heal through music. These last two Fridays have been insane for new releases. I barely just made it through a once-over of everything I wanted to listen to from last week and now I dumped new albums by TOPS, Ellis, Thundercat, Yves Tumor, Jessie Reyez, Purity Ring, Empress Of and Anna Burch into my new music playlist. The spring is always overwhelming for new releases, hard to keep up!

They say music heals. I've never felt that more profoundly than now, during a time of collective crisis. Dunno about you but I'm feeling bouyed through all this by highs of overwhelming gratitude I feel towards musicians and their music. Caribou's Suddenly gets better and better with each listen. I've listened to the whole album at least once a day since it dropped. Can't wait for the record to arrive soon from Rough Trade.

I saw OM last night. I don't go to many metal shows - but I'll be going to more now. OM's drummer, Chris Haikus, was so incredible. What he did reminded more of jazz than rock.
