Matter of sound preference. I’d personally take any grado prestige over any ort 2m and if I was stuck with ort I’d not touch the red with a barge pole, I’d go blue.

I'm not the biggest fan of the ortofon red...if you're going for an ortofon, I wouldn't get anything under the bronze to be honest...not sure how it compares to the Grado though.

Ooooh controversial @MikeH the bronze is probably the most divisive cartridge on this board, those who hate it absolutely hate it...

@Joe Mac -- haha. not saying that's a fantastic cartridge or anything, but the ones under it are pretty bad IMO. When I bought my last TT, the seller sold cartridges too and I asked what he carried. He told me he carried Ortofon but refused to sell anything under the Bronze at all hah.

To be honest the consensus on here seems to be the blue is the only one in that range worth a damn but that even then the Grado Gold or one of the new AT 95 are much better value.

The 2M Blue is the winner of the bunch. That said, at the $100 price point, I like the Grado Green2 or the A/T VM95EN. The A/T is a screaming bargain.
