like these songs feel like they dont have a chorus (which for how insane and demented atrocity exhibition was, it definitely had choruses).... they feel like they are all verse

maybe i also just dont like Q-Tips production which is a possibility

AE sounded like something I've never heard before and excited me for where music is going. His new singles arent interesting me at all and that makes me so sad

@Fleetwood-Matt i mean i was never big on Q-Tip as a producer (not that he is bad but i haven't listened to a lot of his stuff and never had a lot of great stuff there).. but i also really feel like surreal no chorus approach to the music sound he has really made it weird for me.. he calls it a standup comedy album and tbh i really see it

From the singles, honestly the closest comparison I can draw is to those late-career albums by older legends - still good & a showcase of lyrical skill,but not really focused on pushing boundaries, crafting crazy songs, etc. Danny was warning people WAY in advance that this album would be way more of a "rappity rap" classic hip-hop sound, he was tired of just being known as "wacky guy who only raps over insane beats"
