They’re pretty hit or miss IMO. Certainly not a brand to avoid overall or anything, but their appeal definitely lies more in the variant colors than in amazing sound quality

i did enjoy their pressing of teen dream by beach house, i mean its one of my favorite albums of all time there was no way i was gonna dislike it but it sounded really good

their Galaxie 500 reissue is one of my favorite records in my collection. sounds fantastic to my less-than-informed ears

usually just the same plates/master as the last release but marked up at a premium for the color (if you are talking about their exclusive)

I see a few by Mac Demarco and Bug Thief that I’m itching to buy lol

100% favorable in my eyes. Always sound good, and nice variants.

@Memo Would just stick to a non-NBC release if you can, only jumped on the exclusive since I was vinyl hungry at the time. I will say their shipping is A1 though

I have a few Newbury pressings (two of the Shins albums, Camera Obscura, and Tom Tom Club) and they all sound great

@Enoch has it, if the original was mastered and pressed correctly the Newberry probably will as well, and if not, then they won.
