I never quite got it. I get them out of the sleeve and say to my kids, “ooh, look at this one”. They look up from whatever they’re doing and grunt briefly. That’s the last I ever consider what a record looks like. And yeah, 120-140 from days of yore sound just as good to my ears and seem to be flat after 5-6 decades.

Now cool, good quality packaging, I’m a sucker for. Put whatever extra cost is spent on coloured, heavyweight vinyl into packaging and I’m much happier.
