I just want flat, black records. Though I don't mind the occasional colored disc, I prefer them to be the exception rather than the rule.

but they are pretty

I never quite got it. I get them out of the sleeve and say to my kids, “ooh, look at this one”. They look up from whatever they’re doing and grunt briefly. That’s the last I ever consider what a record looks like. And yeah, 120-140 from days of yore sound just as good to my ears and seem to be flat after 5-6 decades.

Now cool, good quality packaging, I’m a sucker for. Put whatever extra cost is spent on coloured, heavyweight vinyl into packaging and I’m much happier.

I don't even need 180g. I think it is the weight that causes so many warps and bowls the last few years.
