OST's by the property is how I do it

Property. I don't have Celeste on vinyl (although great game and killer soundtrack - have it digital); but quite honestly, I would never recall that Lena Raine did the soundtrack so I'd have to google it every time I wanted to find it on my shelf. Same - I used to have all the Streets of Rage soundtracks (killer) but would never file it under Yuzo Koshiro. (Notwithstanding your pertinent Purple Rain example).

I put them under V for Various. Even if it's the same artist, it helps me later because I'm not really that familiar with composer names.

@Diaper Babies Aren't Real yeah thats what I was thinking too, I also do that for my sonic soundtracks and the sam and max OST as well.. (i don't think as them by tee lopes, masafumi ogata, or jahred emmer johnson)

but for something like blade runner its much more vague because that's vangelis

Depends on how iconic the composer is to me. “Banjo Kazooie” goes under Grant Kirkhope because I’m familiar with him specifically. “Psychonauts” goes under P because I’ll never be able to find it if it was under the composer’s name

Depends. If it’s full soundtrack or “songs from” by an established artist I have music by it goes in their discography in its chronological place. If it’s a score or a music from mixed artists it goes in the soundtracks section at the end organised by the film title.

Depends on if it is going in the soundtrack section. If it goes in the soundtrack section then by property. If it goes in the artist section, then you have you answer.

At the end of my collection, after the Z's, I have any various artists collections. And then I have those alphabetized by album title.
