@Melt Face Molly Drop yes, but they've purchased a ton of records over the past year. 75 in the past 3 months, 161 over 6 months, 217 over 12 months. Another loophole in Discogs – you can't alter your feedback for a buyer after the fact. I left positive feedback for paying quickly, but can't edit it. I can remove it, but there's no way to warn others.

I never leave feedback until I make sure they received their order OK; sometimes I wait until they leave me feedback (but not always)

I don't usually leave feedback for a buyer until they've left feedback for me because of that. Quick payment is just step 1 of the process for me.

@djdavedk I do on the high priced stuff ($200+), but I've only sold 20-25 records combined on Discogs/eBay and never had a problem w/ a buyer until now. Law of averages suggests it was bound to happen eventually. Lesson learned the hard way. This record was sold for $125.

I have started insuring $40+ since PirateShip only adds 75 cents for $50 and 85 cents for $100.

@djdavedk Good call. I have used them for some stuff, but not all. Thanks for the tip!

and they didn't send you pics of the album? seems sketchy. wonder if they flipped it quickly to someone else and it got damaged on the 2nd leg of the journey? or they just had a damaged one and will send that back....seems weird they didn't send pictures. what record was it?

@MikeH No pictures. We'll see when I get it back (delivery date says Friday). My guess is a damaged one will be inside a new mailer rather than the one that got "whooped". Record was Chance the Rapper's Acid Rap.

You might get lucky and he’s an idiot and sent a bootleg back

damn! didn't know Acid Rap was selling for that much these days... i sold all my chance records a year or so ago since I wasn't listening to them. Think i sold Acid Rap for $75 or so. Looking at discogs now, seems strange they paid $125 since there are quite a few cheaper copies in NM/NM.

@MikeH I had the same thoughts. Everything about this one is strange. :LOL:

i don't know if this gives insight on anything but i know with the 1st pressing a lot of people complained of damaged record sleeves or the records were warped.so much that the label claimed to have ran out of replacement copies a lot of people were pissed.i don't know if they ever resolved this issue.

If the address you are being sent from is different than the buyers discogs and the one you sent to, wouldn't that help your case? 🤔

@Vinyl&Kicks86 Interesting...so would be reasonable to think they secured a mint copy (mine) in exchange for a damaged/warped one they may have received from that batch?

@ThePakoBuelna I agree! It shouldn't be on me if they received my package in Chicago and then from there shipped it to San Diego, BUT how can I dispute this with Discogs? I looked and didn't see much info on disputes in general on their site.

You could still take it up to PayPal in that case, if discogs isn't of any help. But I would assume using different addresses to receive and ship out does look suspicious.

Hopefully everything resolves great.

@ThePakoBuelna as far as I know, discogs doesn't give a crap. @pinkerton would have to talk to paypal about it assuming paypal was used. discogs only really can sometimes help with changing or removing feedback.

@MikeH that's what I figured, but I appreciate the feedback/help.
