It’s fine

I started the first season twice before it finally clicked for me. And then watched all of the rest of it as it aired, but I agree with your assessment. It's kind of goofy.

Counter opinion. Ted Lasso was the best show since Lost and the best sit com since Cheers.

Borderlines on cringy a lot of times with how predictable everything is but has a lot of feel good moments. First season was good and kinda downhill after that for me. Haven’t finished the last season yet

I think Ted Lasso is great.

But the best sitcom since Cheers? Even if I had Cheers at #1, I'd probably have Ted Lasso at #100.

And I might be the only one who preferred seasons 2 and 3 to season 1

First season is great. Second season is good. Third season I'm not sure I'll bother finishing.

The first season was a slog for my wife and I to get through, but once we did we enjoyed the second and third seasons. I would recommend finishing season three. Or at least watching the last couple of episodes.

I think I am with @Melt Face Molly Drop it’s alright. There are several funny elements that work fairly well. Nothing that makes me laugh nearly as much as Cheers or 30 Rock or Seinfeld or The Simpsons, etc…

Also, the nicest show on TV was Joe Pera Talks With You.

I love Ted Lasso, I've seen S1 and S2 7-8 times and S3 stuck the landing IMO.
