Best thing I ever did for myself mentally was delete my Facebook account.

I guess I assume since my own beliefs shifted massively from my teenage years to adulthood, mainly because I was exposed to differing viewpoints, that anyone's mindset can change. I am a foolish fellow.

Anyone's mindset can change, but it does require 1. Time and 2. External events connected to their immediate existence that carry a heavy influence (e.g. school shootings). Sadly, arguing with people on the internet doesn't really qualify as external events, or even a debate tbh. But reading misinformation on the internet seems to count as #2 for some reason.

Oh man I feel you. Commented on an article in Jan that used the wrong pronouns for Sam Smith and got transphobic replies and DM's for months. Lots of blocking, probably would've been easier to delete the account.
