It's a shame so much merch is just...unwearably ugly. Entirely gendered merch is one thing but I don't know who coud pull this off for instance...

yeah there's a certain aesthetic or demographic that these shirts seem to be tailored to. Like anyone under 25 who's skinny otherwise it doesn't really work.

I feel like there’s been more bad band merch than good band merch over the past few years. Some designs I just scratch my head at and don’t understand. And it may not even be that they are as busy as ^ that but there are odd design choices or imagery that just don’t seem to align with the bands.

@Bennnnn you mean Phoebe Bridgers’ metal logo doesn’t do it for you?

@Tys1 that one is actually really cool. I'd wear/buy that. I also wish she'd redo the Danny Devito shirt. Seems like a lot of sites will make it for you but it's not official

The eras young indie bands and artists are mining for style and merch are largely unfortunate. Sleeve designs can be fine, but they have to be good.
