My last rearrangement I went to Discogs order and now it seems weird to have it any other way. Do you put your contacts in your mobile last name first? If so keep it traditionally alphabetical. If not, that's Discogs order - for people! Say that last part in your best Charlton Heston 'Soylent Green' voice.

@Mather needs a drink - putting Channel Tres under CH IS Discogs order.

Alice Cooper goes under CO because it's his name, fake or not.

Sooo does Marilyn Manson go under MAR or MAN? (Humor me for a bit and assume it doesn’t just go in the recycling bin)

Technically it was the band name first theeeen a stage name. Similar to Marilyn Manson. Just burn the world already, I’m sick of it.

@Mather his stage name is Marilyn Manson, but Marilyn Manson is also the name of the band under which all the albums were released. So theoretically it’d be MAR under these wacky rules

No way dude, Mather rules states if a member of the group shares the same fake name as the group, you still go by last name. Because 90% of the general public would have no idea the names fake. Stage names are still legal names in my books. MAN.

As for Tom Petty, it all goes under P, but the Heartbreakers stuff goes first.

Agree, @Mather. Just as you would if the band were named for their real name.

@Mather is correct in all cases, discogs order is some new modern anarchy that I will never bow to!

Although with Tom Petty’s solo stuff & Heartbreakers it’s all in the same chronological order under PET, I don’t separate them out. Same with Wings & The Cardinals.

My Channel Tres is filed under a heavy stack of books in an attempt to flatten it.

@Yer Ol' Uncle D I do put my contacts in my phone first name - last name and then my phone orders them last name - first name (if I entered both fields)
