@duke86fan of course it is, it’s just cleverly rebranded so that gullible consumers can feel good about their purchase. But it’s so freaking cringe. Especially since it’s usually pushed by “philosophically woke” artists. Grouch from Living Legends just did it and Lorde not long ago.

Then you have King Gizzard, pressing records on “recycled wax” and refusing to use any plastic for their vinyl releases. Seems more of a genuine effort to me.

Plastic free apart from the actual lump of PVC that’s the whole point of the package 😂

Recyling vinyl, like making it is also a really energy intensive process. The best recyling of records is buying as much used as possible.
