Just found out that a friend I grew up with who I haven't seen in 24 years just passed away. One of the last memories I have of him is of us doing a double feature at his mom's house of Hackers and The Saint shortly before I moved away. Eddie was always doing something he shouldn't and got into a lot of trouble over the years. He also loved Primus, so I'm gonna go listen to some to send him off.
Don't care about the haters, this looks cool af.

Kscope released an album today (digitally only so far) called Trifecta - Fragments, it's made up of three of the touring musicians behind Steven Wilson. The releases says they used to do jazz jam sessions together in warm up which birthed this project. I'm really loving it so far.
First Skynyrd and Kansas canceled, now Alan Parsons. Odds that the Dead will cancel and I'll go three for three? I was originally irritated that King Gizzard wasn't until '22, but they're looking like more than musical geniuses each day.
Just listened to cracker's Kerosene Hat for the first time in probably at least a decade and it's still a wonderful album.
Fat Possum debuted this documentary last night on the Memphis '69 Country Blues Festival. Watching it now. It's really good!
I went with the $20 tickets for Skynyrd and Kansas cause they were the only ones I hadn't seen yet. My wife wasn't interested in any of them (and doesn't like Wilco or Kings of Leon), but reluctantly said she go with me, lol.

Not exclusive to nugs.net, but first time I'm listening to Brandi Carlile Live At Benaroya Hall With The Seattle Symphony. And what I wouldn't give to have seen that show in person. Her pipes are among the greatest. Anyone here have this one on wax? -
