Yeah but now you get to be annoyed that there's next to nothing of theirs on vinyl outside of rare RSD releases and a Turntable Lab exclusivo that goes for a lot.

@mdmost I was just looking on discogs at pressings... yeah I'm not goin to indulge in those prices unless I find a copy in the wild.

I own both of those and had to look both of those up because I had no damn idea. Craziness.

Another fabulous British band that left the scene far too soon. I don’t know the sources for the 3 RSD releases but I suspect they’re not analog. So CDs would be good. Still hoping for a wider release

Might I also recommend The Ocean Blue to this conversation?

In the 2000s, The Dears were pretty much a Canadian Smiths cover band that didn't do covers.

If we're naming bands that sound like the Smiths let me throw out Northern Portrait:

The pressings could be better tho. I’d definitely still shell out for a fully remastered set

@mcherry yup, the fact that most of the reviews for them have people saying they're poor sounding is another reason not to shell out $100+ for a single LP

Morrissey's lawyer would like to inform you that calling him "baggage" is in fact horrible, racist slander that reveals the true rot at the heart of modern society, and demand you replace it with his preferred term: accoutrements.

@LeSamourai especially if the baggage is made out of leather

Thought one: anyone else feel really, really bad for the other three members of the Smiths for having to be associated with that now?
