We've got one. I'd recommending hiring a guy for the first 6 months and just kinda watch what they do and ask a buncha questions to learn about your equipment. Then take over and see how it goes from there. Big box stores will try to convince you that you need all sorts of chemicals that don't do anything but complicate the process.
Avoid anything that says calcium hypochlorite as it can damage the pool and leave unsightly stains behind (per my pool guy), like this Amazon product ASIN B00BGNLUV8
