i’ve been thinking about starting an emo/pop punk thread on here since this was my bread and butter growin up. i can vouch for all the forum favorites from above like rosenstock and joyce manor. but if i were to recommend you what I really think it’s the best of the decade in pop punk imo, it is The Wonder Years.

the trilogy of albums from TWY with the upsides, suburbia and the greatest generation is such a fucking insane perfect run in the genre. in fact, the greatest generation is imo THE BEST pop punk album of the past decade and damn masterpiece (not even blink’s or greenday’s best work match up to it imo)

i was happy when someone in rolling stone actually put the greatest generation in their best pop punk albums of all time list

Teenage Retirement by Chumped is my favorite pop punk album from the last decade. They don't exist anymore but the album is still available


The lead singer, Anika Pyle, put out a wonderful but very different sounding album today
