Pup have always reminded me of Jeff Rosenstock. If you're not familiar with him, you can't really go wrong with any of his four solo albums, but Worry. and NO DREAM are probs his best

I definitely second Jeff Rosenstock as @gaporter mentioned. He's probably my favorite artist at the moment, I pretty much love anything he puts out, and NO DREAM might be my favorite album of the last 5 or so years. I also really dig the Antarctigo Vespucci stuff he has put out with Chris Farren.

Great album from last year was Dogleg's Melee. Also, maybe some Cloud Nothings (Life Without Sound is underrated, but Attack on Memory is their best.
