At least with reddit you can kind of just visit subs of things you’re interested in. Twitter is a cesspool any time I manage to go on it. There are awful corners of most social media sites sadly.

Like most things you can mold them to your tastes as @MikeH said. Follow people you wanna follow, subs you like. Though by doing that you’re also cementing your own bias.
