It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Just for a bit of context, in 21/22 the lowest broadcast revenue was Norwich on £94 million pounds. So that allows a spend of £470m not even accounting for commercial deals and inflation. We’re not talking peanuts here.

So Chelsea can still buy 4 midfielders next year 😅 Interesting

So this cap should allow all the teams to be more balanced? I know the more storied clubs will still have the appeal.

Erm kinda. I still think it will work alongside PSR rules so that they will still be able to spend the extra that they generate but that there will be an attempt to limit it a bit. I’d also be surprised if they don’t exclude infrastructure and youth development spending like they currently do.

Wow! Cracking leap and header.

Liverpool have been on top since the 35 minute mark but Everton have beat them up at set pieces, they’ve looked like scoring at every one!

At this point, I'm just hoping we don't drop out of the top 4 for the next manager.

If it stays like this you’re in all probability out of the title race but come on, villa making 9 points on you 4 games is a near zero possibility!

It’s also great seeing Calvert-Lewin playing like this again. Earlier in the season I thought the injuries might just have killed his game but tonight he’s been unplayable, hope he can stay fit and keep it going.

We were out of the title race when we lost to Palace. This thing has been leaking oil since March.
