Complete collections.

I bought a sealed copy of La Saboteuse a while ago and lucked out as it was the limited pressing. One cool thing about the set is the booklet that comes with it. Each musician has a mini-bio with a photograph. I think it also comes with the standard pressing as well. Here is Shabaka's entry:

The entire package is one of the best in my collection. Gorgeous gatefold artwork.

They should all have the booklet by the way. The "limited" one says "first pressing" on the booklet.

I went through a lot of copies of this album because the pressing quality control was so poor. I'd recommend getting one from a place that would do exchanges...I had the first and second pressings but my copies ended up being unlistenable. The third pressing - the one they're currently on - I finally got on an Amazon deal sounds great (finally!) The first disc is still slightly warped as they put it in together with that booklet.

About 13 months ago Shabaka and The Ancestors showed up in my Google Music suggestions. I became a bit of a Shabaka Hutchings stan right out the gates and acquired most of these within the following few months. There are still a great many albums on which he plays that I've yet to get, but I'm pretty pleased with how this has come together so far...

It was Killer Mikes' birthday yesterday, and I was going through his albums to find something to spin. Realized I have a copy of pretty much everything he's put out as a lead artist. Just missing a few singles, CD mixtapes, and a comp. Also, not having RTJ 3 & 4 on CD is bothering the completionist in me 😂. I wish his Pledge albums would get vinyl pressings.

My Bowie collection is almost complete. Not going to pull them all out since there are too many. The only studio albums on vinyl I am missing are Black Tie, Buddha in Suburbia (I have a bootleg) and Earthling. Not pictured but buried in behind is a complete set of the West German RCA cds. Studio albums, then live records (still waiting on Live at the Kit Kat to arrive) and then compilations. Bonus pic of my Bowie books. While Shock and Awe is not specifically about Bowie, it is about Glam Rock and a world he help create.

Very nice collection! I’m also missing Black Tie and Buddha on vinyl, so hopeful the next box set really does make it out this year.

Is the red box to the left of Conversation Piece a Bowie item?
Its the Mercury demos that came out a couple of years ago. Funny thing with the box is that it is slightly taller than the other box sets so won't fit in the Kallax so the spin is showing.

Yes, hard to top the 2 O'Leary books. I hope Nicholas Pegg does a new edition of "Compete..." as it is pretty invaluable for all the different pressings and releases.

My Broadcast Collection. I can't really call this complete because I don't have their collab with The Focus Group - Investigate Witch Cults of the Radio Age & Also the soundtrack for Berberian Sound Studio. Also don't have all of their singles / eps but most of the bsides are collected through "The Future Crayon" & "Work & Non Work" anyhow. All in all, it's pretty close.

And my CDs. I used to have Mother Is the Milky Way limited Tour CD but i sold it before the reissues for something ridiculous.
