Agreed that their sophomore album is more jangly but it's also richer and the sound is more detailed! I think it's better than their debutNew Ducks Ltd. feels a little more jangly than Modern Fiction. Modern Fiction is obviously very jangly but there are a few good riffs on that album too. Harm's Way is slightly, slightly softer around the edges without any noticeable riffs (albeit after only one listen). There's no clear cut "18 Cigarettes" from this album, but the whole thing will probably grow on me after some time.
