@dansomeone Output watts isn't all that useful of a metric until you consider your speaker sensitivity. Very insensitive speakers need a lot more watts than very sensitive speakers do. My speakers have around 99 dB sensitivity (very high), and I get complaints from my neighbors with my volume...

I had the same reaction with my Souls, as I've detailed somewhere in one of these threads. Definitely wasn't a fan of their bass when using spikes on my carpet, but it blossomed into something amazing when I put them on 12"x12" bamboo cutting boards with the ball feet.

If anyone is looking for a great, relatively inexpensive DAC, this is a tremendous deal at 50% off for $375: Arcam - irDAC-II USB DAC I've used one and it gave my vinyl setup (which was 10x more in retail pricing) a true run for its money. Really great value in that DAC.
