Maybe it’s because my DAP only does 8x unfolding, and not the full 16x, But I really can’t hear much of a difference from other high resolution formats. Or, maybe my ears are just lousy and not up to audiophile snuff.

No, using a USB stick. From what I understand, a networked computer can also be used for Hi-Rez local. I apologize though, I am unsure if using an external HD Is possible.

I play local high resolution audio through the USB port on the Yamaha.

It doesn’t do MQA, but the Yamaha WXC-50 is cheaper than the Bluesound.

The Grado black1 still sounds great on my U-Turn table. In fact, It’s done such a great job, that I’m stil in no rush to upgrade to the 8MZ.

Referring specifically to the 8MZ. I wanted to know if I had any other upgrade path. Right now, I’m perfectly fine with the Grado Black 1. But in the future, I also want to get better sound and upgrade. Wasn’t sure I had much of an upgrade path

@HiFi Guy Would this stylus be interchangeable with a black1 stylus? Or is basically my only upgrade path the 8MZ stylus?
