Picked up a reissue of Dead Man not long ago and have been digging into it. I consider myself a pretty massive NY fan but for whatever reason never really tried to absorb this album. Definitely a departure from most of his work but I find it a fascinating listen.
Cancelled both Essentials and Classics today. Rosetta looks decent but I have a bad taste in my mouth after the whole Forum disaster. I dont think Id listen to the Phoenix album much, its not bad but I dont think I need it in my life.
National - I'm easy to Find 3LP
Stereolab - Mars Audiac Quintet (Warp reissue)
Black Mountain - Destroyer
Altin Gün - Gece
Oded Tzur - Translator's Note
Just received the Mars Audiac Quintet remastered expanded edition from Warp to fill a gap in my Stereolab collection. I have most the the 1972 pressings which the band have famously called out as 'Terrible'. To me the 1972 pressings sounded decent/ OK. Wondering if anyone else has experience...
Wow. Watched the Mike Mills film tonight. Incredible, as a father of two girls I found it captivating. So well put together as it chronicles the life of a girl from birth to death. Was tearing up by the end.
