  • Reposting here for visibility: Looking like I'm going to have an extra ticket for Jason Isbell in Spokane this coming Thursday if anyone is interested
Extreme first world problem. Looks like Isbell might be using the same artist for his PNW run as he used last time. Not a fan of tonight's poster and hoping it's not the same theme on the entire run.

It was fantastic. I hadn't been to the Bend Amphitheater, but it was great. Sound was perfect, place was super clean, decent food choices. They do a nice job.

    How was the Canby show?

It was good. I prefer theaters over outdoor venues which is why I'm going to Spokane. The fairgrounds was just a field with the stage at the front and then the audio booth in the middle. Food trucks/booze/merch on the perimeter. Only shade was from the stage set up.

Had I known it was a flat ground I'd have brought a chair for the opening act.

Audio/performance was great and that's what matters most

One of my locals has a sealed 1958 copy of Coltrane for sale tomorrow for $500 if anyone wants me to grab it for them.

$500 seems a bit pricey! I’m always scared of sealed records that are that old since it’s very possible it’s warped or damaged…great album though!

Yeah I'm guessing it means he paid $200-$250 for it to sell. Idk a ton about something like that but could see someone actually wanting it.
PSA: MoFi class action lawsuit info was in my spam folder.
Portland friends. I have 2 tickets for The National on Friday and Saturday. $60 a ticket. Anyone interested? Edit: Friday is sold
A local shop has a RL Zep II in VG for $250. That's high right?

Looking at cogs, seems to be the current asking price.

I don't remember where I saw this, but original RL LZII are supposed to be really hard to find in good condition. Something about people regularly playing their copies at the time. The scarcity of clean copies probably drives up the price of whatever else is left out there.

It's higher than I would pay - and as an owner of an RL - I don't feel that it's worth that much. But someone who has been chasing an RL for years may be willing to just spend that - saving the time/effort/$$ in hunting down a copy in the bins that may never come.

I love my RL - and it does sound REALLY good - but not $250 good.
Did I somehow miss a way to join the MoFi class action lawsuit? 10% back in credit would be nice

Mofi didn’t come clean on digital steps (even in the one step) until an intrepid YouTube celebrity/shop owner connected the dots for Thriller. Golden ear audiophiles lost their gd mind. Class action filed. Settlement reached in February, claimants said the lawyers colluded.

Yesterday the judge said y’all are dumb. You can return your vinyl for a full refund or get credit on purchases you made. No information on how to claim.

Ohhh I see, cheers Lee. I knew about the Digital Drama (TM) but didnt know about yesterday's update. And so the saga continues...
Petite League tonight. Alcohol free venue is....a change.

As someone who loves a good drink, I tend to not imbibe at ~95% of shows I attend. This may stem from the fact that I have historically attended as many as 3-5 shows per week, helping prioritize my wallet, but it's honestly not that bad! My exception tends to be electronic/dance acts because we ain't getting loose sober.

Yeah it was a good time still. But I do enjoy a beverage or two to help be more present in the moment.

Same as @EvanBenner. When I’m at a concert I like to find a spot and stay there for the entire event. No bathroom trips. My record was at “SARStock” in Toronto 20 years ago when I spent 15 hours rooted in the same place. Ah the wonders of the teenage body (and the punishments it can take).
Anyone have Flaming Lips pre-sale code?

Yeah that's tomorrow's. There maybe (probably) is an artist one for today too. Thanks for that one. I'll use it tomorrow for sure

They’re coming to Missoula, but i don’t know if I want to go by myself. My wife isn’t a fan, and neither are any of my friends.

You should go. Everyone there will be a friend
Stupid "Can't leave an empty seat" rule caused me to miss out on row 1 for Isbell. Row 3 will work though

I meant to comment but have been out of town. Wish I would have stayed in Vegas (says not me usually) to stay away from this freaking snow.

It was not bad. There were two stages and set times were staggered. Beverages were easy to get, and fairly easy to get in and out. It's just a big grass field.

Yeah I'm out of town for it.

Ok that's what I figured. I'll have to remember to get a poster tube for that show because it could be a mess
