Coldplay - Moon Music



Earlier this week I scored two GA floor tickets to see Coldplay on May 31 for face value so figured it was time to dig into some of their most recent albums. Moon Music is uneven but there are a few gems on here.

Fuzz Club has been really picking up the banner for putting out new interesting music on vinyl. I’m not a subscriber but really tempted.

It's a pretty nice price. And the free combined shipping on other orders can pay for itself pretty quickly.

[I'm coming up on the end of my second quarter and intend to stay on for a third.]

Apparently Robert Fripp had a recent heart attack. Glad he is still with us to celebrate.

1971 RVG. Didn’t really take vibes to seriously till I got to know Bobby Hutcherson’s playing. This album is a good late night atmospheric spin.

Suzanne Vega -Flying With Angels. This version isn’t much to look at. A solid album of new songs. I also have the dbl cd version of this coming that includes demo/stripped down versions of some of these songs. Should suit them well.

I haven't hid my unenthusiastic reaction to most vocal jazz, but this album perfectly captures the vibe of the vocal jazz band that played at the oyster bar I worked at as a teenager. I think the band was called Body & Soul, they dressed in tuxedos and she wore elegant gowns. When I finally came of legal drinking age, I was so disappointed to learn that it's really hard to find a lounge with live music like that anymore. In Mexico City I could find it, but not in the States.

From Green Day’s - American Idiot box set. Highly recommended for added music, packaging, and good pressing/sonics. And, u can’t say it isn’t still relevant in the yr 2025. Two thumbs up.
