Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

I fight a lot of dust too and use an onzow against recommendations, I think with that and even blutac/magic eraser you are exposing a certain amount of pressure to the adhesive.

What I heard recently and have started doing and it seems to help is using my antistatic before and after playing a side. (I only use the onzow if there is debris on the stylus and have a brush for if the onzow won't get it.)

Good thing I didn't buy the Opus3 the other day cause my DAC is dying.

Any recommendations for a DAC that's under $500 (preferably under $250) for optical out from TV for Apple Music/tv/movies? Occasionalyl 24/192 Apple Music from mobile devices. Don't need Roon/MQA/DSD/any super fancy gizmos.

I would consider The WiiM Pro Plus. Especially when it goes on sale (often).

I'll be honest, it does pique my interest. The main drawback is that it doesn't have full Apple Music support and instead relies on AAC via AirPlay2.
Oh true. I use Qobuz so that didn’t matter to me. I can’t use Apple Music since I still have my old school iTunes library.

Buy it from Amazon and try it. It’s an easy return. You would be surprised at how good it sounds even capped at 256 AAC.

I think the wiim amp has a better dac, but doesn’t seem like you can use it for a pre. It does have earc though if that is something you’d like for the television.
