I’m just going to ask my local to try and get the indie copy. $36 shipped is too much for me. The limited to 500 they are selling is $24 so I’m expecting around that in store. Hope you got the variant you wanted!
I was all set to get the expensive one and then the site just crapped out on me and is still currently inaccessible. I’m taking that as a sign and I’m gonna hold off and probably grab the Indie also.

TAKE UP ARMS! There hasn't been a #1 metal album on the Billboard 200 since Metallica's Hardwired... To Self Destruct. That was nearly 3 years ago!

Slipknot's fantastic new album, We Are Not Your Kind, has a real shot at hitting #1! Their previous album was #1 in 2015. Stream the new album and, if you like it enough, buy a copy! Let's let metal take the crown once more! 🤘

Black vinyl + slipmat here

FYE exclusive silver vinyl here

I'm not sure I want Slipknot to be the #1 metal band, nut I kind of dig this new one. Not as much as other bands, but it's nice.

They're not my favorite, but their new album is fantastic, and it's about time we see another metal album hit #1! I'm sure Tool will have a shot later this month, too!

On the site that shall not be named, this would have resulted a firestorm over whether Tool qualifies as "Metal".
I like this new spot we're in.

Tool isn't metal (IMHO), but context is everything. They belong in a place like this, they don't belong in a place dedicated to "trve" metal. They play heavy music, and that's good enough for here, as evidenced by all the "core" stuff as well as "post" stuff.

Definitely a laid back metal thread here and I wouldn't want it any other way.

I realize almost everyone doesnt class slipknot as metal..

but what did yall think bout the new album?
I would classify them as Metal. It’s kinda like Hip-hop, the genre covers a wide swath of styles....All that to say I personally don’t care much for Slipknot so I haven’t heard the new album.

Saw them live last night so haven’t listened yet today. I’ve never heard anyone not call them metal, have no idea what else they would be.

Behemoth was awesome to see in an arena, Gojira surprised me, Volbeat kept the crowd going but was not up my alley. Slipknot puts on a great visual show and played a variety of stuff throughout the discography, had a good night.

Nu Metal, which technically isn't metal even though it's in the name. At least according to the old-heads.

Nu Metal is a fusion genre with hard rock. It shares more in common with alt rock or hard rock than it does metal roots.

Also see: Tool. It's alt metal/nu metal/progressive hard rock. Not "metal".

Either way, they are both heavy, so if you want to call them metal I'm not going to argue with you - just sharing perspective of the pedants out there.
