I mean Taylor releases a lot of colour varients, I think it’s 5 on the next one so far, but it pales into utter insignificance next to the Black Pumas debut. Putting anyone in the same line of that conversation as them is a big stretch. Between the two versions of their debut there were 33 different vinyl releases!

I mean Black Pumas released variants of the first album as the previous one sold out. Taylor has at least six of 1989 and has been releasing them for limited amounts of time on her website. Part of the conversation on Pumas was the perception that they were preying on the collector mentality. I would say Swift is abusing that in a much more significant way.
