Both trulia and zillow are reporting that maralardo was sold on Aug 4 for $422 million. Looks like ownership was transferred to junior. Perhaps an attempt to protect assets from seizure???

Whoever bought it got raked over the coals given the "Zestimate", lol

Nobody's really talking about how fucked up it is that the one black guy in the indictment is the only one out of 19 people not walking free right now, huh?
I think it's because he assaulted the FBI agent who served him. At least that's what I read in an article. Otherwise I'd fully agree. But he didn't even get bail after that.

Got sent this article from my father:

Along with the following comment:

Idiots are at it again. Can't wait till Nuremberg 2.0. These clowns can get hung for crimes against humanity once again.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I have family like this too, and how they think wearing a mask to save lives is comparable to killing Jews is just... 😵‍💫

Yeah, my mom posted some big long instagram video that was all about resisting as well. As flu (and covid) season approaches, the pearl clutching begins. I almost commented "Thanks for reminding me to schedule my next booster", but I've gotta see her this week and next so don't want to deal with the angst in person.

TBH I have no problem holding my kid hostage from family who won't get vaccinated. And if the children are too young to consistently mask up, the adults around them better be willing to do it when it's called for, or they...won't be around. Simple as that. I don't care what someone's feelings are about the government; the tyranny of not being allowed to see grandkids is much more effective, IMO.

My allergist / immunologist practice has about 6 doctors. Masks have been optional since May... except if you are seeing one of two specific doctors there. The sign reads something to the effect of patients are not required to wear a mask in the waiting room, however, they will be mandatory in the exam room if you have an appt with Dr. X and/or Dr. Y. Seriously, wtf?

Meanwhile:

Patients with COVID-19 were at increased risk of a broad range of cardiovascular disorders including cerebrovascular disorders, dysrhythmias, ischemic and non–ischemic heart disease, pericarditis, myocarditis, heart failure, and thromboembolic disease.

At the 12-month mark, compared with the contemporary control group, for every 1000 people, COVID-19 was associated with an extra:

  • 45.29 incidents of any prespecified cardiovascular outcome
  • 23.48 incidents of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs), including myocardial infarction, stroke, and all-cause mortality
  • 19.86 incidents of dysrhythmias, including 10.74 incidents of atrial fibrillation
  • 12.72 incidents of other cardiovascular disorders including 11.61 incidents of heart failure and 3.56 incidents of nonischemic cardiomyopathy
  • 9.88 incidents of thromboembolic disorders, including 5.47 incidents of pulmonary embolism and 4.18 incidents of deep vein thrombosis
  • 7.28 incidents of ischemic heart disease including 5.35 incidents of acute coronary disease, 2.91 incidents of myocardial infarction, and 2.5 incidents of angina
  • 5.48 incidents of cerebrovascular disorders, including 4.03 incidents of stroke
  • 1.23 incidents of inflammatory disease of the heart or pericardium, including 0.98 incidents of pericarditis and 0.31 incidents of myocarditis

And ya know, this isn’t scary at all either:

Cheng, senior and co-corresponding author of the study, told TODAY correspondent Erin McLaughlin that people ages 25 to 44 saw a nearly 30% increase in heart attack deaths over the first two years of the pandemic—a surprising finding without a clear explanation.

But, sure, keep talking about this thing like it’s some sort of conspiracy. Let’s let people die to make a point to the government that we aren’t going to put on a mask at the height of Covid wave after Covid wave because we are free to spread deadly disease wherever we want. If you want a conspiracy, how about the one where our government didn’t seize and open up the patent for the covid vaccine so that any scientist could work on it and any country could have/produce it, like the poor countries that were most affected by covid deaths due to richer countries not truly imposing travel restrictions. And they didn’t open up the patent to protect pharmaceutical company stock holders, you know, instead of the rest of the frickin world—and a few people made a ton of money which is partially responsible for the rejection of the vaccine. Oh wait…that one actually happened.

The biggest takeaway here for me is not Texas joining a handful of other states allowing this after Tump signed into law a bill that would allow states to do this, but rather that no state has been allowed to import a single dose yet. Makes me wonder if it will ever happen or forever be held up until it's repealed.

On this note, has anyone gotten their booster? I feel like I saw one note from the White House, almost a footnote, saying get a booster, then nothing else? As a relatively healthy individual, and someone that might not be looking directly for this info, I feel it should almost be omnipresent to the point that I should know whether or not I'm supposed to get it. It's scary that this discourse has become like the flu vaccine, where you're supposed to get it, but many don't as they largely feel it's "optional."

The new boosters are not out to my knowledge, I think they are saying late September, I got the one from last fall.
