Definitive Audiophile pressings

Feels a bit weird to say this with this album, but Pink Flag by Wire, the 2018 repress is really good. I'm sure an OG would have a bit more of that raw punk feel, this is definitely very... clean. But man it's got good dynamics, good stage, punchy and it's dead quiet. Optimal pressed. And the jacket and inner are actually decent quality. Really nice for only about $30 CAD. Very impressed
@yukbon this update is for you.
Yup, this and 154 and Chairs Missing all sound very good. All digital but mastered nicely and pressed well.

They played the dumb punks but were all intelligent musicians. They signed with EMI because they knew they would get access to great studios and engineers

But seriously, I guess consensus is that the RTI RSD Graceland it's pretty much the best copy out there? It's very clean and it's good but I feel like there's a lot more depth and high end that could come out on that one. But maybe that's just how it was recorded, but after hearing the Bridge Over Troubled Water Classic Records pressing I feel like there is definitely more that could come out of Graceland. That BOTW Classics is stunning and it's absolutely full of detail and depth that I didn't know existed on that generally muddy recording.

My ogs sound great. I see no reason to spend a crap ton of money to replace great sounding records.

I've got a umm, white hot stamper of it. I'll cut you a deal. $400 shipped and I'll ship it as a gift with a birthday card to fool the authorities.
