Pre-Order Thread

Cross posting from the Bandcamp Friday thread.
I saw this posted on the Joyful Noise VIP page and have been really enjoying the album this morning.

I HATE when bands decide to release a Deluxe Edition of an album later down the line. I would have bought this last year had it been announced with the album, but I don't need it. So I'm supposed to have two copies of the album now? This caters to the diehards who will most likely already own the regular pressing of the album. ffs.

Yeah, as much as I love this group I have to save some coin considering it's all the same music.

They did announce (almost) this exact deluxe variant when the album released though...

I'm pretty sure it was a tour only release and not available anywhere online until right now
I'd be more upset if I had the tour version tbh. This basically devalues it (not sentimentally obvi). I just bought the black but may spring for this one too and give the black away. Keep in mind this is a band that presses a million variants too, so I had a feeling this would be happening. They are the Black Pumas of the indie world.

Also as a side note, I saw they just performed on Fallon with Joey Badass. So I feel it's only a matter of time before they become much bigger than they already are. They are just 1 viral TikTok away...

Edit: This seems to be the same pressing as the tour press

Show Me How has already started popping up as background music in a few IG reels I've seen...

I actually didn't know it was a tour only release/it even existed until you shared that link. Did some digging and discovered that was the case. I saw them on tour this year but I didn't check the merch table since I already had the album.

Men I Trust deserve all the attention and fame coming to them, but I also hate how TikTok takes bands and makes people fans of moments. Seeing Beach House earlier this year when they played "Space Song" was just a sea of phones. It's a good song but jfc, it was ridiculous how many people were trying to film that moment. TikTok fans will come and go, latch onto the next viral thing. Hopefully a few of them look further into their music than just a single song from a reel.

(pre-order thread is now unpopular opinion thread today)
