John Prine

Is Bruised Orange available as a stand-alone repress? Really need a new copy of this
Yeah! Rhino released it at the beginning of this year. I can't confirm quality, but most of their SYEOR stuff is usually pretty solid. Not sure what's around Chicago, but it's not too too hard to find:

Couple Limited John Prine's coming in August from Oh Boy

Has anyone else been watching the John Prine birthday extravaganza? Last night from the Ryman was a veritable who’s who of country/Americana musicians.

Based upon the Saturday night show, which wasn’t live streamed for some reason, tonight’s show - which is actually John’s birthday and is free (with a donation) - should have some big name surprises… (last night we didn’t get Isbell or Jim James or Emmylou or June Carter).

Heard Natalie Hemby really owned Angel From Montgomery. Hoping the show streams or get broadcast or somehow gets made available somewhere eventually.

I got tickets to the Ryman show tonight. My wife got them for me a couple years ago for my birthday. I expect tonight to be the biggest and best show of them all. My prediction is Isbell, Carlile, Iris, Emmylou, Bonnie, Amanda Shires, Tyler Childers and maybe Sturgill. I went to the Grimeys Instore for Volume 2 Broken Hearts and Dirty Windows and it was great.

She was incredible. It takes a real talent to give me goose bumps and full on teary eyes while watching alone on an ipad… just the way music is supposed to be enjoyed?

Apparently the ticket I bought gives 7 day access to the archived live stream. I’d be shocked if oh boy didn’t do something with the footage after that.

Show hasn’t started yet but Margo, Bonnie, Bob Weir, I’m With Her and Lucius are confirmed.

I got to thinking. Wonder when they are going to announce the vinyl release of his Americanafest show from a few years ago. I got something in an email about it last year or early this year and have yet to hear a thing about it. Maybe a Record Store Day release for next year? Here is hoping.
