I'm guessing just not pushing them too much. But I'm no expert. Good luck with everything, that system is gonna be great when you have it all!

Thanks! If I don't get a noise complaint the first day I set it up I did something wrong. Maybe grab a beer some time 🍻

You could do this:

Connect the speakers to the PL- 4 ohm tap
Connect your turntable to your old amp.

Run an RCA cable from tape out to an input on your PL.

You are using the phono section of your current amp but driving the speakers with the new amp.

Not a bad idea! But I won't have the shelf space for both amps and the speakers on stands. I can wait a few more days to listen on a system I thought would take years to put together

Actually maybe I do. Might mess around and see.

Please ignore the mess. Excited to finally have everything set up. I'll need to play with the toe in and distance from the wall. I don't have a ton of room to work with but I can't wait to break these in. Big thanks to @AnthonyI for the PL and an amazing packing job and to @HiFi Guy for answering all the dumb questions I had. Now to clean and play the one step Muddy Waters Folk Singer (probably in the morning so I dont get a noise complaint)20220422_234027.jpg

Also need to figure out if/how I'll save all these boxes because I'll have to move at some point.....
Nice. Carefully break them down/flatten them. Easier to store in a garage/attic/under a bed, etc. and you have them. You can put the packing in a closet or storage.

You will definitely want to pull them out a bit.

What table did you get again ? Make sure your interconnect is not too long to pre (capacitance). You can put the HW16 somewhere else.
