The July challenge is up and everyone who has entered a challenge before has been invited. Be sure to accept the invitation and join in on the fun! If you haven't entered a challenge before and want to join please let me know and we'll get you set up! Stay hydrated out there in the summer heat!
Okay, so I got the app on my phone and was able to join the challenge, but is there any way to log hours after you work out? I don't need the map functionality because I zumba in place. Could I add hours from the web site?

You can add them from the app directly. Go to the “…” on the lower right and pick “log workout”

Yup, exactly what @Kris said (but if you have an Android phone I think you select the three horizontal lines at the top left and then "Log Workout". You can also log them on the website manually as well if that's what you'd prefer by going to the Workouts tab and selecting "Add Workout".

Has anyone done one of the Conqueror challenges? I saw an ad on Reddit for the Mt. Fuji challenge and decided to give it a try. I need motivation to get out there in the heat!

I've never heard of that, how does it work?

You pick one based on a real location and length. It’s self paced and along the way they give you facts and photos from the places. I think if you’re on a treadmill you can watch it on screen, but I haven’t tried that. It’s $30 and when you finish they send you a pretty cool looking medal. I’m doing it with my sister so we have our own little team but I can’t tell if we now split the total distance. This would make sense because some of the challenges are 500 miles.

This month's challenge has been a good one for me, I've been doing more which I'm proud of. I'm trying out a new rhythm to get more active days in. Basically waking up an hour early a few days a week to get some work in. So far it's working! Hoping I can develop it into a routine that sticks a bit more. Thanks y'all for the continued push.

I think that might be a common theme for many people in the challenge as it seems overall we're logging more hours as a group.

I just started working with a trainer this month, so I’m logging less time overall, but the time I’m logging is quality (and painful. Owwwww my legs) as I get back to the weights and some strength/mass training.

Hadn’t checked invites from MMR in a while and just saw the one for this month. I’ll go back and log my walks. Hopefully there will be more challenges in the upcoming months. 😊
Walked almost 4 miles this morning. Going to start lifting weights twice a week at my wife’s ex brother-in-law’s house. I have a goal to lose 40lbs by birthday in November, but will extend that to the end of the year if needed.
Best wishes to everyone!

Since setting up a home gym I'm in the barefoot camp or just socks for deadlifts to protect my shins. I'm actually going back to Chucks this week since I am fairly certain I have to wear shoes when competing in August.
When I was going to the gym, I would always see people lifting with chucks on and I wondered why. Is it because they are flat and would give you the best possible stance?

I saw someone at the gym jogging in Chucks and my arches collapsed out of sympathy.

I do see a lot of dudes lifting in them though. Is that a thing?

It appears to be. I worked in podiatry for 12 years and when patients would come in wearing chucks, I could hear doctors telling them right away how terrible those shoes are…lol. For the longest time that was my shoe of choice and I knew they offered zero support, but to see them in a gym confuses me a bit.

I hate even walking far in Chucks but yes, they are thin, flat, stiff, and fairly non slip which are all desirable attributes in footwear while performing compound lifts. You can choose from a wide array of more sport specific shoes but Chucks strike the appropriate balance between price, style, and ubiquity.
